BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team returns to action on Friday night, hosting UCF at 7 p.m. after having nearly two weeks since its last game.
The Owls (5-2) ride a five-game winning streak into the in-state battle and have won their last three home games. FAU is leading the nation in turnover margin, averaging +12.57 per game. The Owls have forced 180 turnovers while committing just 92 on the season.
FAU leads Conference USA in scoring offense, field-goal percentage, three-point field goals per game, turnover margin, and turnovers per game.
UCF (7-1) have won three in a row, dating back to its only loss of the season on Nov. 23 at Charlotte. The Knights lead the all-time series 20-8, but have not defeated the Owls since 2005.
Following Friday's contest, the Owls will take flight to Lubbock, Texas to take part in the 2013 Travelers Invitational, hosted by Texas Tech. There, FAU will face Abeline Christian, Jacksonville and Texas Tech.
