BOCA RATON, Fla. - Conference USA's 2013 Basketball Media Day is set for Tuesday, Oct. 8 in Irving, Texas. The head coaches from the men's and women's programs at the 16 member institutions will be on hand to preview the upcoming season.

A free, live video stream of interviews with coaches will be available at conferenceusa.com. Coaches from Charlotte, East Carolina, FIU, Florida Atlantic, LA Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee and North Texas will do interviews in four segments beginning at 10 a.m. eastern. Coaches from Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, Tulane, Tulsa, UAB, UTEP and UTSA will begin their live stream at 1:30 p.m. eastern.

Fans can also keep up the with the day's events via social media. FAU will be posting updates throughout the day on the official twitter (@FAUOwlAthletics) as well as Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/FAUATHLETICS) accounts. Conference USA's social media platforms will provide updates as well. Photos, notes and other information will be posted via Twitter (@CUSAMBK, @CUSAWBK and @Conference_USA) and will be tagged #CUSAtipoff. The Conference USA Facebook and Instagram accounts will also have live content from Tuesday's event.

FAU head men's basketball coach Mike Jarvis will discuss his team with host Ron Thulin in the block scheduled from 10 to 10:20 a.m. eastern.

Last week, redshirt senior center Dragan Sekelja was named a Conference USA Preseason Player to Watch. Sekelja appeared in all 32 games as a junior last season.

Head women's basketball coach Kellie Lewis-Jay will appear in the block immediately following Coach Jarvis, from 10:20 to 10:35 a.m. eastern.

The women open the 2013-14 season on Sunday, Nov. 3 with an exhibition against crosstown rival Lynn, while the men begin their season on Friday, Nov. 8 against Ave Maria.
