BOCA RATON, FL – The Florida Atlantic University women’s basketball team has announced the hiring of Cristal Randolph to round out the coaching staff for the 2010-11 season.

“We are really excited to have Cristal back home at FAU,” said Head Coach Chancellor Dugan. “She brings a high level of energy and is very enthusiastic about being a part of the staff.

I expect her to solidify the state of Florida for us recruiting wise.” Most recently, Randolph served two seasons at the University of Miami (Ohio) as the director of women’s basketball operations.

Randolph played four seasons under Dugan from 2003-07 and appeared in every game during the 2005-06 season when the Owls secured their first NCAA tournament berth.

For her career, Randolph appeared in 114 games, averaging 7.4 points per game. Her 155 career three-point field goals ranks her second all-time in FAU women’s basketball history behind Latorria Matthews (220).
