Full 2017-18 Schedule

BOCA RATON, Fla. - - Florida Atlantic University Athletics Department has released the 2017-18 women's basketball schedule, which will feature 15 home contests and bouts on the road with both a Pac-12 and Big Ten opponent.

"I am excited about our non-conference schedule," said FAU Head Women's Basketball Coach Jim Jabir. "It is well balanced with some tough Power Five opponents and two strong holiday tournaments. Our non-conference schedule will hopefully prepare us for the rigors of our great league."

The Owls kick things off with an exhibition at Boca Raton neighbor Lynn University on Saturday, Nov. 4. The team will open on its home court against Mercer on Sunday, Nov. 12. Back-to-back road games follow as FAU faces Pac-12 member Colorado on Nov. 15 and Indiana State on Nov. 20. FAU wraps up the month with their annual Thanksgiving Tournament on Nov. 24-25 featuring Saint Francis, Bowling Green and Norfolk State.

The women hit the road again to compete against Big Ten powerhouse Nebraska on Dec. 19. FAU will wrap up 2017 with the Holiday Tournament when the Owls host UMKC, Stetson and Delaware State on Dec. 29-30.

FAU will have three straight home games to kick off Conference USA play, hosting Marshall, UTEP and Rice on January 5, 7, and 11, 2018 respectively. The Owls make their first C-USA road trip to UTEP on January 18 before returning home to host 2017 WNIT participant Louisiana Tech on the 20th.

"C-USA is a great women's basketball conference with great coaches and talented athletes," said Jabir. "We will be challenged every night as we build what we hope will be a championship program."

The Owls cap off their home schedule with a February 23 game against Southern Miss, who also made last season's WNIT, before hosting rival FIU for Senior Day on Sunday, February 25. FAU will finish regular season on the road at Charlotte on Saturday, March 3. The 2018 C-USA Basketball Tournament will take place in Frisco, Texas, from Wednesday, March 7 through Saturday, March 10. For the full schedule, please click HERE.
