Who We Are Wednesday: DaChé Williams
July 12, 2017

Hello Owl Nation,

My name is DaChé Williams, and I am a redshirt senior. I am originally from Connecticut, born and raised. I recently transferred here to Florida Atlantic after earning my degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey. My time at Rutgers was one for the books, as I enjoyed playing under Hall of Fame Coach C. Vivian Stringer. I am currently working on getting my master’s degree in sociology while attending FAU.

My time so far here at FAU has been amazing. This campus is one of a kind. The people are extremely nice, and I feel very welcome day-in and day-out. I love the support I have received from the staff and other student-athletes. I feel like I am already at home here in Florida after only being here a little under three weeks. Since I have been here in Boca Raton I have visited the beach a few times. The water down here is amazing and feels refreshing. I also had the chance to interact with young children at a daycare during one of our community service events. Anyone who knows me knows that I love working with children and would love to open up my own childcare services in the future. I have also been into photography on my spare time. I am a very visual and artistic person and photography and design is something that I enjoy.

I am excited to see what this year has in store for us. Our goal is to win a conference championship and make it to the tournament. I believe that Coach Jabir brought in a great group of girls to play with the returning players. I trust in his system, and so does the rest of the team. We are here to help start a legacy for the women's basketball program. Only time will tell, but I can assure you all that my teammates and I are working extremely hard this summer! I look forward to seeing you all at the games and meeting you!

Go Owls,

DaChé Williams #13
