June 29, 2017

BOCA RATON, Fla. -

The Florida Atlantic University women’s basketball team, led by Head Coach Jim Jabir and his staff, will be hosting “A Day in The Life” Elite Camp on Saturday, August 5.

“Come join us for a great basketball experience at FAU where you will be exposed to the life of a Division I basketball player under the instruction of FAU players and coaches,” said Jabir. “We will work on your skill set and game, show you proper nutrition and lifting techniques as well as provide academic and recruiting advice.”

The full-day event, open to 9-12th graders as well as 8th grade members of their varsity basketball team, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on FAU’s Boca Raton Campus, 777 Glades Rd. Campers will take part in high intensity skill development drills, learn about proper nutrition and strength and conditioning techniques as well as listen to several different presentations on a variety of relevant topics. Each camper will leave with a thorough understanding of the commitment and dedication required to play Division I basketball as well as gain a competitive edge.

Registration is now open. The $60 registration fee will provide a jersey and lunch. To register, please visit camps.jumpforward.com/jimjabirbasketball. For more information, or if you have any questions, please contact Arianne Johnson, director of basketball operations, at 561-297-1370 or johnsona@fau.edu.
