BOCA RATON, Fla. - Six seniors will take the floor at FAU Arena for the final time in their careers on Wednesday, March 5 as the Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team hosts UTEP for Senior Day.

Briah Blakely, Takia Brooks, Latavia Dempsey, Shanequa Schrouder, Kimberly Smith and Ashley Stevenson will be recognized in a post-game ceremony for the time and effort they have dedicated to the program.

The Owls (15-13, 5-10 C-USA) could finish as high as tenth in Conference USA with a win in their final regular-season game on Wednesday, improving their seeding in the C-USA Tournament starting on March 11.

FAU won back-to-back games at Marshall and at UTSA last week behind the efforts of the C-USA Freshman of the Week Shaneese Bailey. The Callahan, Fla. native averaged a double-double on the week and grabbed a career-high 15 rebounds in the win at Marshall.

UTEP (23-5, 12-3 C-USA) enters on a three-game winning streak and has won 10 of its last 11 games, dating back to Jan. 22. UTEP's leading scorer and rebounder, Kayla Thornton, missed the Miners' last game due to injury.

The Owls will travel to El Paso, Texas to take part in the 2014 Conference USA Championship Tournament from March 11 to March 15. A detailed schedule will be posted once seeding is determined following regular-season play.
