The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team will take part in the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's (WBCA) National Girls and Women in Sports Day and "Pink Zone" event during their next home game on Saturday, February 7 at 5 p.m. The Owls will take on Troy University at the FAU Arena, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

The WBCA event is a national event that takes place annually in February at colleges and universities nationwide.

The Miami HEAT dancers will be the main attraction at the game, with a special performance at halftime. The dancers also will be available to sign autographs prior to the start of the women's game - beginning at 4pm.

The first 300 fans to attend Saturday's game will receive a free "Pink Zone" koozie courtesy of Service America, who will be pledging $50 to the Kay Yow/WBCA cancer fund for every three-point basket made by the Owls. WBCA "Pink Zone" T-shirts will also be on sale for $5, with all donations also going to the Kay Yow/WBCA cancer fund. An FAU women's sports tribute also will be on display in the lobby of the FAU Arena.
