OAK BROOK, Ill. – Three future Florida Atlantic University women’s basketball players have been nominated to participate in the McDonald’s All-American game held on March 28. Addison Ryan, Taylor Strawser and Janae Thomas made the nomination list and will wait to see if they made the 24-player roster that will be announced on January 16.
The three ladies are part of an eight-member signing class expected to join the Owls in the fall of 2018.
Ryan averaged 17.2 points per game and 7.3 assists per game last season as a junior. The Frisco, Texas native is ranked as three-star recruit and a top 30 point guard by ESPN.com.
Strawser averaged 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks per game as junior and earned Concord Conference Second Team honors. The Herndon, Virginia native also was named to the All-County team as a freshman and sophomore.
Thomas averaged a double-double as a junior with 15.3 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. The Gibsonton, Florida native was named to the Western Conference Second Team last season.
The game will be played at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on March 28 and will be broadcast on ESPN2.
