BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University women's basketball team made a Conference USA record 20 3-pointers and committed just two turnovers in its 98-62 rout of UTEP on Senior Night Wednesday at the FAU Arena.

The two turnovers ranks as the second fewest in a game in conference history while FAU's 47 3-point attempts set the record for the most in a conference game. The Owls' 20 3-pointers is the second most in a game in the NCAA this season.

The Owls (16-13, 6-10 C-USA) won three in a row down the stretch to jump from 15th to ninth in the Conference USA standings and will faced the bottom-seeded Marshall on Tuesday in El Paso, Texas.

FAU's six seniors combined for 88 points in their final home games. Takia Brooks led the Owls with 24 points and ten rebounds. The Miami native also made five 3-pointers, dished out five assists, and did not commit a turnover.

Kimberly Smith set a new Conference USA record of her own, making six 3-pointers to break the C-USA record for most treys in league play with her 58th of the year. She scored 19 points and had six rebounds in her team-high 36 minutes.

Latavia Dempsey played just 18 minutes, but that was enough for her to go 6-of-8 from 3-point land for 24 points.

Briah Blakely also reached double-digit, tacking on 12 points and three assists. Fellow seniors Shanequa Schrouder and Ashley Stevenson had seven and eight rebounds, respectively.

The Owls dealt out 17 assists while every player both scored and rebounded in the game. FAU out-rebounded the much taller UTEP players 50-45.
