All-Sun Belt Conference performer who made an immediate impact as a low post presence...named FAU's Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2011-12.
2011-12: Second-team All-Sun Belt Conference selection after leading the team in scoring, rebounding and blocked shots...finished eighth in the SBC with 7.4 rebounds per game...averaged 10.6 points per game, including 18 double-figure scoring performances...named to all-tournament teams at the BTI Tip-off Classic at the University of Kansas and the Stetson Hatter Classic...recorded five double-digit rebounding games, including 12 boards against Stetson (12/21/11) and Western Kentucky (1/25/12)...scored a career-high 21 points in the team's conference tournament victory over North Texas (3/4/12)...scored in double figures in 11 of the team's 16 conference games...had three double-double performances (points and rebounds) against Louisiana-Lafayette (12/31/11), WKU (1/25/12) and North Texas (2/11/12)...all three performances were the only double-doubles recorded during the season...scored 18 points with 12 rebounds in a home SBC win over WKU (1/25/12)...tallied 17 points and 10 boards in a home win over North Texas (2/11/12)...made a career-high nine field goals in SBC tournament contest against North Texas (3/4/12)...recorded 24 blocked shots.
2010-11: Sat out season as a Division I transfer after transferring from Eastern Michigan University.
Previous School: Played one season at Eastern Michigan under head coach AnnMarie Gilbert...was an athletic presence and a solid contributor for a team that went 22-9 and advanced to the WNIT for the third time in school history...played 12 minutes and collected three rebounds in EMU's 56-50 loss to Purdue in the first round of the WNIT (3/17)...appeared in 31 games and started six...averaged 19.5 minutes and 6.2 points per game...led Eagles with 34 blocked shots and finished second on team with 5.7 rebounds per game.
High School: Played at West Bloomfield High School for head coach Steve Larkin...ranked 179th nationally and 30th for her position by Dan Olsen's Collegiate Girls Basketball Report...averaged 14 points and 10 rebounds per game during her senior year...ranked 12th by the Michigan Girls Basketball Report...finished her career with three consecutive double-double performances, including a 31-point, 20-rebound effort against Farmington Harrison in the Michigan state tournament...second team all-area selection by Oakland Press and was an honorable mention selection by Detroit Free Press after her junior season...earned honorable mention accolades as a freshman and sophomore from Oakland Press and Detroit Free Press.
Personal: Criminal justice major who seeks a career as a detective...daughter of Cheryl and Jeff Miller...aspires to play professional basketball in the WNBA or overseas...her parents played professional basketball abroad -- her father played three seasons in Portugal and her mother played seven seasons in Italy...enjoys painting nails in her free time...member of the 2010 and 2011 FAU Honor Roll after earning a 3.0 or higher GPA.
