Men's Tennis Recruiting Class Rated 14th Best among Mid-Major Colleges

Boca Raton, Fla. - The six additions to the Florida Atlantic University men's tennis program for the 2011-12 season have been rated the 14th best recruiting class in the country among mid-major Division I colleges by TennisRecruiting.net. The Owls are the only Sun Belt Conference team to be featured on the list.

The recruiting class, developed by Head Coach Brandon Stokes, includes the following players:

Sean Bacha: This native of Port Orange, enjoyed a standout prep career at International Baccalaureate.

Garrett Betsarakis: Helped St. Petersburg's Shorecrest Prep High School to a runner-up finish in Florida's Class 1A state tournament. He has participated in United States Tennis Association tournaments for the past 10 years.

Robert Dubuque: A native of Satellite Beach, he chose to continue his playing career at the collegiate level near his hometown.

Chris Janssen: The Florida State University transfer is a native of nearby Deerfield Beach.

Will Neuner: A native of Pensacola, he played No. 1 singles at B.T. Washington High School, helping the team to second-place finishes in the state championships during the past two years. He has posted a top-25 state ranking in his age group every year since he was 10 years old.

Jake Rother: The Spring Ranch, Texas native has been ranked in the state's top 25 players in the 14-, 16- and 18-year-old age divisions. He was a doubles semifinalist in Texas Summer Grand Slam events in the 16- and 18-year-old divisions.

FAU is coming off its third consecutive winning season, with a 12-10 record, and advanced to the semifinals of the conference championships for the third straight year.
