BOCA RATON, FL - Olivier Sajous has continued to rack up honors through the summer after a dominating freshman year as a member of the Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team.

Sajous earned the USTA's no. 1 rank in both singles and doubles in the Florida Men's Open Division. The ranking is based on a year's worth of results.

"What makes this more impressive is when you realize he missed a lot of events during the school year while playing for FAU, and he still earned the no. 1 ranking," said FAU Head Men's Tennis Coach David Komie.

Recently, Sajous picked up a doubles title at the National Men's Open Claycourt Championships and finished as the runner-up in the singles.

During his first year at FAU, Sajous broke the program's record for most wins in a season, earned the program's highest Division I ranking and was named team MVP and FAU's Most Outstanding Male Athlete. He also earned the program's highest individual mid-season rank of no. 63.
