Boca Raton, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis program has added Florida high school standout Will Neuner for the 2011-12 season. The Pensacola native recently signed a National Letter of Intent to participate in athletics at the NCAA Division I university.

Neuner has played No. 1 singles at B.T. Washington High School, helping the team earn second-place state finishes during the past two years. He has posted a top-25 individual finish at every age group since 10 years old.

"Will is a tough out on the court. He always brings his best effort, attitude, and spirit to a match and practice," said Brandon Stokes, FAU's head men's tennis coach. "His style, personality and work ethic are infectious. I am enthused to add Neuner to the other guys as soon as we can in the fall. Our program has dramatically improved with his positive attributes."

Neuner is also excited about joining the FAU program and playing in Boca Raton, stating: "I chose FAU because of the school, the coach, the location and the team. I have seen them practice and compete, and it is something I definitely wanted to belong."

FAU is coming off its third consecutive winning season, with a 12-10 record, and advanced to the semifinals of the Sun Belt Conference championships for the third straight year.
