Men's Tennis Earns No. 5 Seed for This Week's SBC Championships
Sophomore Will Neuner has won 19 singles matches this season

Boca Raton, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team will is the No. 5 seed for the Sun Belt Conference Championships, starting Thursday, April 18 in Lafayette, La. The Owls will play the University of Louisiana in a quarterfinals round match at 3 p.m.

The winner of the match will advance to the semifinals against top-seeded Middle Tennessee State University on Friday, April 19 at 3 p.m.

FAU enters the tournament after having an 8-13 regular-season record. The team has won its last two matches: a 4-3 victory over Bethune-Cookman on April 7 and a 4-1 win over DePaul University on March 31.

Senior Jose Fantova posted a 10-11 record this spring, including eight victories in No. 1 singles matches. Sophomore Will Neuner also won nine dual matches and leads the team with 18 singles victories. Fantova and Neuner have combined to win eight of the 11 No. 1 doubles matches this spring.

Freshman Andrei Morin-Kougoucheff had a team-high 12 spring singles wins, while sophomore Robert Dubuque posted 10 singles victories.
