Men's Tennis Takes on Tough Competition

The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team will face its second ranked opponent this week and host its first match of the spring when it hosts Samford University at noon on Wednesday at Patch Reef Park before heading to the University of Miami on Thursday for a 2 p.m. match.

The Owls last played on January 12th against no. 18 Florida State. FAU took three singles matches to three sets and will face its second ranked team this week when it takes on no. 36 Miami. The Hurricanes' ranking is from the first spring poll and the team will play its first match of the spring season against the Owls.

Samford opened spring play this last weekend by hosting the Samford Invitational. The flighted tournament featured Samford, UAB, Jacksonville State and North Florida. The doubles pair of Jordan Delass and Renan Silveira won the doubles championship.
