Senior Jose Fantova picked up a three-set singles win to conclude play in the USTA Clay Court Invitational

Orlando, FL - Florida Atlantic University men's tennis players concluded successful play in this weekend's USTA Clay Court Invitational at Walt Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.
Senior Jose Fantova picked up a three-set victory on Sunday over an opponent from Georgia Tech by 2-6, 6-3, 1-0 (9) scores. The Ferrol, Spain native was one of four Owls to record a win in singles play in the fall tournament, which featured a national collegiate field.
In doubles, Fantova teamed with sophomore Will Neuner to lose 8-5 in a semifinal match of the Garnet bracket.
Neuner fell in a challenging three-set singles match, dropping the third-set tiebreaker by a 10-7 score to a Florida State University opponent. He won the opening set 6-1.
The Owls will wrap up the 2012 fall schedule by competing in the Dick Vitale Intercollegiate Clay Court Classic in Sarasota. The tournament starts on Friday, November 9 and continues through Sunday, November 11.
