CORAL GABLES, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team began its second fall tournament Friday at the University of Miami Fall Classic in Coral Gables, FL. The Owls played singles and doubles matches against Florida State University in opening day action.

Junior Cristian Paiz was the only Owl to earn a victory as he defeated Alex Herrera 6-3, 6-4. The pair of Paiz and Oscar Plotnik nearly recorded a doubles victory for FAU, but fell 8-6 to FSU's Romain Jurd and Alex Herrera.

FAU continues play Saturday morning against South Florida and concludes Sunday against host Miami.
