DELAND, FL - A day after upsetting Jacksonville University, Florida Atlantic University got a chance to take on the no. 1 seed, the University of Central Florida, at the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship. The ninth seeded Owls fell, 4-0, to a rested UCF finishing their season 9-13, 2-4 in the A-Sun. The last three singles matches were left undecided.

Cristian Paiz led FAU in victories for the season going 12-8 in singles dual matches, and 15-7 in doubles dual play. Paiz is part of a strong returning class for next season that includes three experienced freshmen, David Demers, Kevin Obletz, and Oscar Plotnik, returning for their sophomore season. Ernest Diaz is the Owls lone senior.
