Men's Tennis Falls to UCF

March 30, 2003

BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University concluded the home portion of its schedule Sunday afternoon against the University of Central Florida (17-2). FAU (6-11) fell to a strong UCF team 6-1. Junior Cristian Paiz got credit for FAU's lone point when he defeated Gabriel Strangberg, 6-1, 6-4, at no. 2. Paiz leads FAU with an 11-6 record. Paiz also teamed with freshman David Demers in doubles to win at no. 1.

Demers and Paiz defeated Catalin Bradu and Antonio Sierra 8-6.

Sunday's match was the last home match for senior Ernest Diaz.

FAU travels to Daytona Beach to play Bethune-Cookman April 1 at 1:00.
