Fort Myers, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's tennis team had its two-match winning streak snapped in a 5-2 loss at Florida Gulf Coast University on Friday, March 8.

FAU (4-8) clinched the doubles point with an 8-6 victory by senior Jose Fantova and Will Neuner in the No. 1 match. The tandem of sophomore Robert Dubuque and Andrei Morin-Kougoucheff picked up an 8-6 win on the second doubles court.

After FGCU (5-5) got singles wins on the fourth and fifth courts, Dubuque earned a straight-set 6-2, 6-3 win over Gabe Echeverry in the No. 6 match to tie things at 2-2.

However, the host Eagles got three-set triumphs at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles to clinch the home court victory.

FAU returns to the court on Wednesday, March 13 at 2 p.m. against nationally ranked Indiana University from Patch Reef Park.
