Florida Atlantic Men's Tennis Cancelled Due to Weather

BOCA RATON, Fla. (March 6, 2014) – Florida Atlantic men’s tennis match against Xavier was cancelled due to weather.  The start time for the match was moved up one hour and started at 1 p.m. in an attempt to play the match before bad weather moved into the area. The teams agreed to play a 4-1 format to squeeze in as many matches as possible. A 4-1 format plays four singles matches and one doubles match simultaneously, instead of the normal six singles matches and three doubles matches. A lighting warning was issued about halfway through the first set and players were sent indoors.  After about an hour delay the teams agreed to cancel the match.
