2009-10: Utilized a medical redshirt after sustaining an injury early in the season . . . won three matches including a first round victory in the Fall ITA Southeast Regional . . . won a total of four matches and picked up a sweep in doubles and singles action in the season-opening victory over Florida A&M (1/16).
2008-09: Won a combined 32 matches that included a 17-win campaign in singles' action . . . saw most of his action at number two singles recording 13 dual victories . . . teamed with Joshua Scholl at number two doubles and went 16-12 altogether in doubles . . . secured a doubles victory over Louisiana-Lafayette to secure a berth in the Sun Belt Conference tournament final, its highest placing in program history.
2007-08: Ended the year with a 12-9 record, including a 9-8 dual match record . . . was 5-5 at No. 5 . . . finished the year with an overall 7-9 doubles record in dual matches with a 6-4 record at 2 doubles . . . headed into the dual-match season with a 3-1 record . . . five single losses on the season were to individuals on teams ranked among the nation's top-75.
2006-07: Finished with a 10-19 singles record, including 6-14 in dual matches . . played 12 matches at No. 3 and 25 doubles matches with Eddie Majcher in all three spots . . . was 2-0 at No. 1 and 6-2 at No. 3 doubles.
High School: Played for Scott Williams at Saint Andrews School where he was a four-time MVP and where he earned All-Area first team . . . also had several top-100 U-18 national wins, including one top-10 victory.
Personal: Born on May 8, 1987 in Glasgow, Scotland . . . son of Anwar and Doris Vardag . . . Finance major . . . Named to FAU's Honor Roll during Freshman, Sophomore and Junior seasons with a 3.0 or higher GPA . . . inducted into the National Student Athletic Society . . . aspires to receive a top 500 ranking on the ATP circuit.
