2004-2005: Tallied a 9-11 record on the season and concluded the year with a 7-9 dual match record, playing predominately at no. 4 and no. 5...and was 8-10 in doubles... teamed with Demers for a 6-5 record at no. 3 and a 7-7 record overall.
2003-2004: Went 5-8 in singles matches...was 3-3 at No. 5 position...went 6-11 with four different partners...named ITA Scholar Athlete for the second consecutive year.
2002-2003: Played in 16 singles matches and 11 doubles matches...went 3-2 at No. 3...played either 1, 2, or 3 position...won four consecutive matches in February...was ITA Scholar Athlete recipient for maintaining a 3.0 g.p.a. both semesters...was injured (back) during the second half of the season.
Tennis: Used the year prior to starting college to travel the country playing futures events...captured several victories in wildcard tournaments for entry into the main draw, most notably in Houston...held a top-5 rank in men's doubles in the USTA Eastern Division as well as a top-30 in the USTA by's 16's Eastern Division, along with a top-200 rank nationally in the 16's...have been a traveling partner with Vince Spadea, top-30 ATP player, and have served as Corina Morariu's, former no. 1 doubles player in the world, hitting partner.
Academically: Member of numerous academic clubs and societies including National Society of Collegiate Scholars, golden key Honor Society, the National Dean's List, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society...recipient of the Milton B. Redman Endowed Award for Excellence in Economics from FAU in 2005 and is a five time Dean's List member...holds a 3.75 g.p.a.
High School: Attended Clonlara High School in Ann Arbor, MI...ranked among the top-30 in boys 18's and under in the SUTA Eastern Division, top-five in men's doubles in the USTA Eastern Division, and top-30 in men's singles in the USTA Florida Division as well as top-200 18 and under nationally.
Personal: Economics major...son of Richard and Debra Obletz...born December 16, 1982 in Smithtown, NY...plans to attend law school following FAU.
