Why I Chose FAU: "When I first started to look at schools, I really didn't know that much about FAU or the opportunities that it offers. I have always lived in south Florida so when it came time to look for schools to attend I wanted to get away. I visited schools up state and some up north, they were nice and had a lot of positive things going for them. But, it was not what I had expected. Being a student athlete, I wanted to go to a school that was going to have good academics, good weather all year, and a great tennis team with a lot of opportunity. So I kept searching and I came across FAU and found out that it could be a perfect fit for me. I started comparing FAU to all of the other schools of interest. There were so many positive things about FAU: the weather is perfect all year. The beach is five minutes from campus, and it's in Boca Raton. We are about 20 minutes north of Fort Lauderdale, 15 minutes south of West Palm Beach, and about an hour north of Miami. FAU is also one of the top rising universities in the country. FAU football shocked so many people when they received a bowl invitation and won the conference after just seven years of existence. The new football stadium is being built on campus and should be done by the fall of 2010. I am very happy with my decision to come to FAU and I think it is a great decision for anyone who wants to be a part of something successful and special."
