Junior Garret Lemon recorded season-best scores in both diving competitions en route to be named the Sun Belt Male Diver of the Week

Boca Raton, Fla. - Standout performances by Adam Corbin and Garret LeMon in Florida Atlantic University men’s swimming and diving team’s dual meet against Texas A&M University has earned the Sun Belt Conference’s Swimmer & Diver of the Week Award this week. The recognition recently was announced by the league office.
Corbin won two events in the Owls’ special Veteran’s Day meet against Texas A&M. The senior led wire-to-wire to take top honors in the 200-yard freestyle race by a slim 15-tenths of a second margin (1:41.79). He also earned a half-second victory in the 200-yard individual medley (1:55.16). The Clearwater native rounded out his strong performance with a season-best time (46.84 seconds) to earn runner-up honors in the 100-yard freestyle race. He has won multiple events in FAU’s last three meets.
Meanwhile, LeMon was recognized by the conference for the second straight week after recording season-best scores for a pair of third-place finishes in the one- and three-meter competitions against Texas A&M. The junior from Citrus County earned 244.43 points from the judges on the one-meter board while tallying an impressive 276.98 points in three-meter dives. LeMon has been the Owls’ highest finisher in the last two meets.
Five members of FAU’s men’s and women’s swimming teams have earned the conference’s Swimmer & Diver of the Week Award this season.
