Boca Raton, FL - The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will honor seniors for their hard work, dedication and leadership before the final regular-season meet against Daytona Beach State College on Saturday, February 5, beginning at 11:30 a.m. at the FAU Aquatic Center, 777 Glades Road, Boca Raton campus.

Nine seniors will be competing for the men's team in its final home event. The group features Bob Booth, Adam Corbin, Chris Cruts, Tyler Griffith, Eric Jackwin, Trevor Lowe, Rafael Pena, David Rudolf and Michael Shimansky. Seniors on the women's team include Dominique Morley, Janelle Nassim and Alicia Stevens.

The men's team is coming off a convincing dual-meet victory last week over Nova Southeastern University. FAU won seven of the 11 events, with Corbin taking home top honors in two races. The men's squad features a balanced team, including five different individuals winning an event on January 28. Junior Mikolaj Czarnecki has been a strong contributor in both butterfly events, and is the defending Sun Belt Conference champion in the 200-yard butterfly. Corbin has compiled a strong season by swimming freestyle and individual medley races. Junior Csaba Pek is also one of the team's highest point scorers through backstroke and individual medley events.

Meanwhile, the women's team enters the season finale after defeating Nova Southeastern and narrowly losing to conference rival Florida International University. Sophomore Eszter Bucz continues to put together a strong season, winning three events last Saturday. Fellow sophomore Maegan Butler has named the league's "Female Diver of the Week" five times this season, and the only winner of that award in 2011. Other strong performers include junior Erin Hersey, in butterfly events; junior Jonna Nyback, in freestyle; and Nassim, who won her first event of the season in the breaststroke last Saturday.
