Winning 10 of 16 events, the Florida Atlantic University men's swimming and diving team picked up its first dual meet victory of the season with a victory over the University of Tampa on Friday in Fort Myers.

The Owls recorded a 163.50-124.50 victory in the competition that was part of a triangular meet with men's and women's teams at Florida Gulf Coast University.

The sophomores led FAU's effort in the pool as Csaba Pek was victorious in the 100-yard backstroke (52.74) and 400-yard individual medley event (4:06.25), Mikolaj Czarnecki won the 100-yard butterfly event (51.26), Ricky Duran was first in the 1,000-yard freestyle and Garret LeMon in 3-meter diving (209.25 points).

Other Owls earning event victories were freshman Alan Forbes in the 100-yard breaststroke, junior Adam Corbin in the 500-yard freestyle, junior David Rudolf in the 200-yard backstroke, and freshman Kyle Lloyd in the 1-meter diving competition.

FAU returns to the pool on Friday, November 6, in an exhibition dual meet against Princeton University at the Aquatic Center on the Boca Raton campus.
