Junior ('10-'11): One-fourth of the Sun Belt Conference-winning 800-yard freestyle relay team...had a personally successful Georgia Tech Invitational, with four season-best times...won the 500-yard freestyle race against Florida...had four other top-5 finishes in that race throughout the season...had six top-five finishes in the 200-yard freestyle event, including back-to-back runner-up finishes against Nova Southeastern and Daytona Beach College.

Sophomore ('09-'10): Swam the third leg of the fourth-place 800-yard freestyle relay team at the Sun Belt Conference championships...finished 14th in 500-yard freestyle (4:37.01) and 16th in 1,650-yard freestyle (16:46.89) at the conference meet -- both season-best performances.

Freshman ('08-'09): Recorded four victories during solid freshman season...best time in the 50-yard freestyle is 22.20...member of the 800-yard freestyle relay team that set a freshman record (6:35.89) at the Sun Belt Conference Championship Meet...swam personal best 4:33.81 in the 500-yard freestyle event at that meet, and was 14th in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:41.69, with a personal best 1:40.92 the preliminary rounds...also competed in the 100-yard freestyle (47.49).

High School: All-county selection...holds school record in 50 free with a personal best of 21.63...swam for coach Eric Hill.

Personal: Civil Engineering major...born in West Palm Beach, FL...son of Randy and Kimberly Van Zee.
