Price now has four goals for the season

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University’s men’s soccer forward Ryan Price has been named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week. The junior is FAU’s first to be named a C-USA Player of the Week for soccer.
Price leads FAU in scoring following the team’s two-home wins last week. The Owls defeated the FGCU Eagles on Wednesday night 3-2 in double overtime and the FIU Panthers 2-1 in their conference season opening match on Saturday night.
In Wednesday's game against FGCU, Price led FAU tallying three goals over 102 minutes of play, including the game-winning goal. FAU took an early lead as Price recorded an assisted goal with a low shot to the right side of the net in the fifth minute of play. In the 56th minute, FGCU's goalkeeper received a red card that allowed Price to score on a penalty kick building the Owls' lead to 2-0. The game went into double overtime as FGCU tied the match at two. Two minutes into the second overtime, Price beat FGCU's keeper recording a hat-trick to win the game.
Price now has four goals for the season and has been a critical asset to FAU's team which is now ranked in first-place for Conference-USA. The team's record is 3-0-1 overall and 1-0-0 for conference matches. Price sits in a three-way tie for first-place in the conference for total points, points per game, total goals and goals per game. He leads C-USA in game-winning goals.
Men’s soccer will host Jacksonville University on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. followed by the University of North Florida on Sunday, Sept. 22 at 2 p.m.
