Men's Soccer Hosts Niagara, Wisconsin

The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team will take to the pitch twice this weekend, starting with its home opener against Niagara on Friday, followed by a matchup against Wisconsin on Sunday at the FAU Soccer Stadium.

The Owls (0-2) are coming off of a road trip that saw a loss at Lipscomb, followed by a 2-1 overtime heartbreaker at Belmont with Nikolas Gomez scoring the first FAU goal of the year.

Kickoff against Niagara on Sept. 2 is slated for 7:30 p.m. as the second game of a doubleheader with the women's team hosting Stetson at 5:30. On Sunday, Wisconsin and FAU battle it out at 12:30 p.m.

FAU Men's Soccer Loses Defensive Effort
The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team lost the second match of the season to Niagara University in a 1-0 decision. The Purple Eagle's goal in the 65th minute sealed the match and sent FAU to a 0-2 overall season record. The Owls had more than double the number of shots, registering a total of 23.
