2017 Men's Soccer Schedule Released
Aug. 11, 2017

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men’s soccer team, under the direction of new Head Coach Joey Worthen, will face stiff competition this fall as the 2017 schedule has been released.

“We are looking forward to our schedule this year,” Worthen said. “Our conference is extremely competitive and we have added some very good non-conference opponents as well. We want to compete with the best teams in the country.”

The Owls will battle six opponents who competed in the 2016 NCAA Championships, including Louisville, Florida Gulf Coast, South Carolina and New Mexico, who each advanced in the tournament.

The 2017 campaign kicks off with an 11 a.m. exhibition match against Broward on Saturday, Aug. 12 at the FAU Soccer Stadium. The Owls open the regular season at North Carolina State on Aug. 25 before hosting their first match of the year on Sept. 1 against College of Charleston.

Conference USA action begins on Sept. 9 as FAU travels to take on South Carolina before hosting Old Dominion on Sept. 15. FAU also hosts FIU, Charlotte and Marshall in C-USA action as well as Jacksonville and Florida Gulf Coast in the non-conference slate.
