BOCA RATON, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's soccer team will host the Fort Lauderdale Strikers for their spring game on March 23 at 7 p.m. at FAU's soccer stadium.
The Strikers will feature Darnell King, a former player for the Owls. King graduated in 2011 after playing four seasons with Florida Atlantic. He plays defense for the Strikers and will be starting his second season with the team.
Florida Atlantic invites students and staff to attend with free admission, as well as kids U13 and under who wear their club jersey. Tickets are five dollars for all other attendees.
At halftime, fans will have a chance to participate in the Flying High Soccer Ball Kick Contest. Contestants will compete to see who has the furthest kick.
The Owls and Strikers will have a post-game autograph session at the field.
Florida Atlantic will host FIU on Friday, March 29 at 7 p.m. for their final spring game and regular season will begin in August.
