Men's Soccer Drops last match of the season 3-0 to New Mexico

The Florida Atlantic University men’s soccer team (2-12-2, C-USA 1-7) fell 3-0 to New Mexico (8-5-4, C-USA 2-4-2) on Friday night.

FAU looked to press offensively, as they were able to record four shots total in the first half with two coming from Thomas Gallitz, and one from David Adejunmobi, and Ramon Whittaker. The Owls played tight defense, only giving up four shots total as well. The half ended in a scoreless tie, with 10 total fouls called and two red cards distributed. One was given to FAU’s freshman Douglas Landvik in the 41st minute.

The game was scoreless until the Lobos put one in the back of the net in the 71st minute. New Mexico would go on to score two more goals. The Owls were able to record two shots in the second half from the feet of Aaron Laranetto and Thomas Gallitz. Goalkeeper Phillip Hitpass had four saves on the night to bring his season total to 35.
