Nashville, TN - Senior midfielder Bjorn Totland scored twice and freshman David Acosta notched his first career goal as the Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team disposed of winless hosts Lipscomb University 6-0 on Saturday morning. The Owls are now in a three-way tie for first-place in the Atlantic Sun Conference with UCF and Georgia State.

The Owls (9-2, 5-1) have now won five consecutive games, outscoring their opponents 14-1 during the streak, and have won eight of their last nine overall.

Senior Rustin Kluge opened the scoring for the Owls in the 8th minute on Alek Bogojevic's first assist of the season. Walter Yoder made it 2-0 in the 18th minute on a Robert Bloom assist and Totland's first goal in the 30th minute increased the gap to three.

Acosta, who has emerged as a quality winger for Kos Donev's squad, went the unassisted route for his first goal as an Owl, capitalizing on a rebound off the post in the Bison (0-15, 0-4) penalty area in the 32nd minute.

Totland, who has now scored in three consecutive games, found the net for the second time in the 51st minute. Kristoffer Aarskog completed the scoring in the 65th minute, nine minutes after coming on as a substitute.

Junior Anders Granstad and freshman Helgi Helgason combined for the shutout, each playing 45 minutes.

The Owls return to Boca Raton for crucial home conference games against Georgia State on Friday evening and Mercer on Sunday afternoon.

NOTES:Totland now leads the Owls with seven goals on the season.
