Men's Soccer Loses Final Road Match of Season, 1-0

BUFFALO, NY - Despite outshooting Buffalo 16-9, the Florida Atlantic men's soccer team lost to the Bulls on Friday afternoon, 1-0.

The home team got the game's only goal in the 39th minute, as Joey Merlo crossed to Maksym Kowal, who passed it across to Richard Craven for the score. The win was the first of the season for Buffalo in Mid-American Conference play.

Daniel Mendes led the Owls with four shots, two on goal, while Vincent DiBullo and Deniz Bozkurt each had three shots. The team had seven shots on goal in total, by six different players.

Jeremy Crumpton played all 90 minutes in goal for FAU, and had five saves. Jonathan Viscosi had seven saves in the win for Buffalo.

With only three games to go in the regular season, two in MAC play, the Owls' record is 2-10-1 (0-5 MAC). All three contests are at home, starting with a match against Bowling Green on Friday, October 26, beginning at 7 p.m.
