Miami, FL - ,Miami, FL Florida Atlantic Men's soccer team loses 2-0 to host Florida International in the final game of the FIU/Umbro Classic. FIU scored two goals in the first half and shut down the Owls offense the rest of the way.

FIU opened the scoring at the 7:36 mark on a goal by Matias Asorey. The goal was assisted by Ezequiel Romero. FIU's Alvaro Aservi scored the second goal of the half at 24:47, with assists going to Romero and Bobby Boswell.

The loss was FAU's third in a row. Junior goalkeeper Jonas Kolstad made 6 saves as the Owls were outshot for the game 24 - 9.

FAU's record now stands at 2-5 overall. FIU moves to 3-4 with the victory.

FAU heads back into conference play for their next two matches. FAU hosts Georgia State University on Thursday, October 4, and Mercer University on Sunday, October 7. Both matches kick-off at 7:30pm.
