Nashville, TN - Florida Atlantic University's men's soccer team picked up its first victory and its first shutout of the season with a 7-0 victory over host Vanderbilt University.

The Owls took control of the game early on a goal by Ran Poliker. Bjeorn Totland earned the first of three match assists. FAU scored its second goal four minutes later, 13:16 on an own goal. The third goal was scored by Mike Rubin, assist Totland, six minutes later.Kristoffer Aarsko scored the fourth, again set up by Totland.

With a four goal advantage, the Owls headed into the half out shooting VU 6-4, but returned to the field playing even more aggressive to out shoot Vanderbilt 15-5 in the second half and score three more goals. Jeremi Isaacs scored 10 minutes into the half set up by Mike Rubin. Gustavo Alenoar scored the final goal by an Owl, who were credited with the seventh on the second own goal of the match.

FAU will return home to play host to Florida International.
