The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team lost to IUPUI 1-0 in overtime Saturday night. The loss, which took place as part of the UK Invitational, drops the Owls to 0-2 on the season.

FAU started out fast as it took them just 15 minutes of action to equal the four shot attempts they managed against Kentucky on Friday night. IUPUI keeper Drew Deffner was able to hold off the Owls, as he made four first half saves and keep the game scoreless headed into halftime.

FAU's best chance to score came early in the second half, when Walter Yoder's shot hit the post in the 50th minute. Both teams had multiple chances to score, but were unable and the game went into extra time still tied 0-0.

The only goal of the match game early in extra time as IUPUI forward Justin Darvish won a ball behind the Owl defense and was able to dribble around FAU keeper Phillip LaMarre for the score.

LaMarre and midfielder Ran Poliker were named to the All-Tournament team The Owls return to action on Thursday, when they travel to Deland to take on the Stetson Hatters. Action is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
