Luis Gajardo begins his 11th season as an assistant coach with FAU. His primary duties are goalkeeper training and working on team fitness. Gajardo has mentored some of the top goalkeepers in school history, including Anders Granstad and Jonas Kolstad. Granstad was named to the All-Atlantic Sun team in 2005, marking the sixth straight year that an FAU keeper earned conference postseason honors.
In 2008, Gajardo will be charged with the duty of continued development of all conference keep Phillip Lamarre. As the Owls enter the Mid American Conference, Gajardo's guidance will be vital to the development of the FAU keeper.
Gajardo also serves as a coach and goalkeepers trainer for the Soccer Association of Boca Raton. Prior to coming to Boca Raton, he served as the physical fitness trainer for Wanderers F.C. 1st Division in Chile. Gajardo also holds a physical fitness trainer diploma from Foz de Iguazu, School, Brazil.
