Fernando Flaminio joined the FAU Men's Soccer staff in August of 2011 as the goal keeper coach. Flaminio comes to FAU after a nine year stint at Ithaca College where he served as the assistant and goal keeper coach for the men's soccer team. Besides being in charge of the development of the goal keeping program at Ithaca, Flaminio also recruited, scouted, was in charge of field coordination and prepared international soccer trips to his native country, Brazil, for the soccer team. A goalkeeper himself, Flaminio played at the amateur, semi-pro and professional levels in his soccer career in Brazil from 1970-1984. Flaminio played for two Brazilian profeesional teams, Clube Fonte SP-Campinas in Campinas, Brazil and Sao Paulo Futebol Clube in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Flaminio received his bachelor's degree in accounting and administrative sciences from Fundacao de Ensino Octavio Bastos in 1985, and then received a technical accounting degree from Abdiel Cavalcanti Braga College in 1978. |
