Men's Golf Places Third at FGCU Invite

ESTERO, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic University men’s golf team finished third in this week’s Homewood Hilton Airport Invite. The Owls rallied on day two, improving on a first-round 327 to wrap the second round with a 310, the third-best team score of the round, for a total of 637.

  • Ricky Hendler led the way for the Owls with an 83-73, 156 finishing T-5th and ending up with the third best score on Par 4 holes and the fourth best score on Par 5s for the tournament
  • Adam Friedman was consistent with a 79-79, 158 to finish T-14th, leading the team with 19 pars on the tournament
  • Cody Christensen ended up with an 82-77, 159, good for T-17th
  • Coming in T-31st, Chris Thomas improved on day two, finishing up with an 84-81, 165
  • Brian Dolehide was steady on the tournament closing with an 83-86, 166, resulting in 35th place

Up Next

The Owls are off until February 11, when they head to Estero, Fla for the Randy Grimes Memorial Shootout.
