Round 1 Results Get Acrobat Reader

MISSOURI CITY, TX - The FAU men's golfers are tied for second, with two individual Owls tied for first, after one round at the HBU Men's Intercollegiate.

Freshman Derron Peyton and senior Clinton Wilhelm each shot a 2-under-par total of 69 at the Quail Valley El Dorado Golf Course Monday. They are tied for tops on the leaderboard along with ULM's Mason Seaborn.

The Owls are just three strokes behind host Houston Baptist, who came in with a 3-over-par total of 287. FAU and Sam Houston State each shot 290.

Rounding out the Owls' scoring was Richard Donegan, tied for 20th with a 4-over 75, and Frank Berzanskis, tied for 29th at 77.

FAU's Airik Medinis had the tournament's shot of the day, a hole-in-one on the par-3, 203-yard 8th hole. He carded an 81 in round one.

Round two results will be posted later Monday evening. Play wraps up from Missouri City on Tuesday.
