Men's Golf Remains in 14th-Place after Second Round of C-USA Championship

EDMOND, OK – After the second round of the 214 Conference USA Men’s Golf Championship, Florida Atlantic University remains in 14th-place with a two-day team total of 615. Tulsa held onto its lead from the opening round with 569 strokes over 36-holes

The Owls were led by Derron Peyton who tied for 55th-place after shooting 79 in the opening round. Peyton then shot 71 to tie for 39th and take FAU’s lead in the second round. The sophomore also led the team in par-four scoring. Airik Medinis fell from tie for 24th to a 48th-place tie after carding 77 in the second round for a two-day total of 151, one stroke behind Peyton.

Connor O’Rourke advanced from his 60th-place tie after the first round to tie for 55th shooting 74 in the second-round. Blake Lyle tied for 66th carding 84 for 160 strokes total. Caleb Sibley rounded out FAU’s team, finishing in 69th-place with 164 strokes over two days of play.

The final round of the championship will take place on Wednesday, April 29 with FAU teeing off hole 10 at 7:42 a.m. Live stats will be available at golfstat.com.
