LAKE WORTH, FL - Florida Atlantic's 2013 Spring Break Championship concluded on Sunday with the team tying for fifth-place after the third and final round. The Owls tied with Jacksonville State as both teams finished the tournament with 27-over 879.

Junior Airik Medinis was the team's top finisher with a total of 219 strokes. Medinis tied for 17th-place. Alex Gates and Clint Wilhelm tied for 26th carding final rounds of 74 and 76, respectively.

Richard Donegan and Derron Peyton rounded out Florida Atlantic's team "A" tying for 30th and 34th place. Donegan tied with Lawrence Hoch who participated at the tournament for FAU's "B" team.

Bradford Kidd, Frank Berzanskis, Joseph Arazi, and Morgan Hill also participated on the "B" team finishing with total scores of 228, 233, 239, and 251 on the Fountains Country Club's par-71 north course. Pablo Gerboles-Parilla played as an individual tying for 47th.

UCF's team took first-place while a participant from Jacksonville State took the individual first-place finish. Florida Atlantic's men's golf team will travel to Muscle Shoals, Alabama for their final Sun Belt Conference Championship at Fighting Joe Country Club on April 22-24. Men's golf will join Conference USA next season.
