Donegan Advances Carding 71 to Tie for 16th

LAKE WORTH, FL - Florida Atlantic University's men's finished the second round of their 2013 Spring Break Championship at the Fountains Country Club on Saturday afternoon. The Owls' "A" team advanced to third-place carding 288 while the "B" team fell to 16th with a total score of 315 for the round.

Freshman Richard Donegan continues to be Florida Atlantic's leading scorer for the tournament carding 71 for the second round, bringing his total score to 3-over 145. Donegan is currently tied for 16th with a participant from Murray State.

Clint Wilhelm recorded Florida Atlantic's lowest score for the round with 68 strokes. Wilhelm tied for 18th with teammate Airik Medinis. Alex Gates and Derron Peyton round out the individuals on FAU's team "A" tying for 29th and 33rd place.

Florida Atlantic's "B" team's leading scorer was Lawrence Hoch who tied for 33rd with Peyton. Bradford Kidd carded 77 in the second round taking the team's second best finish tying for 50th. Frank Berzanskis, Joseph Arazi, and Morgan Hill carded 80, 81, and 81, respectively.

UCF advanced to first-place over Hartford after the second round and a member of their team also holds the first-place individual score. Florida Atlantic will play the third and final round of the tournament tomorrow with tee times starting at 8 a.m.
