BOCA RATON, FL- The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team improved their team score on the second day in the Spring Break Championship at the Gleneagles Golf Course in Delray Beach, FL. The team has a combined score of 583 after carding a 291 in the second round of the event, but has dropped to sixth place overall. Heading the invitational is Ohio State with a 17-under par score of 559, a 16 stroke difference over DePaul (575) who is in second.

Clint Wilhelm and Casey Matthews are setting the pace for the Owls. Both are tied for 17th place individually. Wilhelm (72, 73) and Matthews (73, 72) both have a composite score of 145 after the two rounds to lead FAU.

Justin Thompson (73, 76) and Kelly McHugh (74, 75) are also tied with scores of 149 after Friday and Saturday. Thompson and McHugh are in 39th place overall for individuals, while Michael Baskovich follows closely behind with a score of 150 (79, 71).

The Owls will look to continue their consistent play in the final round of the Spring Break Championship on Sunday morning. Tee times will begin at 7:30 a.m.
