LAKE WORTH, FL - Florida Atlantic junior Clinton Wilhelm achieved the Owls' first under-par round in their Spring Break Championship at the Fountains Country Club.
Wilhelm's 68 gives him a two-day even-par total of 142. That puts him inside the top 20, at a tie for 19th. Freshman Lawrence Hoch has had the second lowest score each day for the FAU team, a 73-75 for a total of 148.
The team dropped to 13th after Saturday's round. Next are Michael Baskovich and Bradford Kidd at 151, followed by Justin Thompson (153).
Frank Berzanskis dropped into a tie for 31st with a second round 76 (144 total). Another Owls' individual, Pablo Gerboles-Parrilla had a 3-over-par 74 on Saturday, and is at 149 after two rounds.
The other three Owls competing are: Alex Gates (152), Andrew Mangini (155) and Stephen McPoyle (169).
Florida State extended their first round lead with a Saturday team total of 8-under-par. They're 12-under for the tournament at 556, and have a seven stroke lead over Northern Illinois.
FSU's Brooks Koepka is still tied for the individual lead, at 136 (6-under), along with Thomas Dunne of Northern Illinois.
