LAKE WORTH, FL - Round one of the 2012 FAU Spring Break Championship has the Owls in seventh place, with an individual team member just one stroke behind the leaders.

Playing on the par-71 North course at the Fountains Country Club, the host school is 12 shots behind the team leaders, Florida State. Senior Michael Baskovich shot an even-par round and is the leader among the scores that count towards the FAU team total. His 71 places him in a tie for 19th overall.

Lawrence Hoch shot a 2-over-par 73, and rounding out the team scoring, each shooting a 74, were Justin Thompson and Clinton Wilhelm. Bradford Kidd shot a 4-over 75 Friday.

Tied for the individual lead are three competitors, at 4-under 67: Chris Burger of Xavier, Florida State's Brooks Koepka and Tom Robson of Jacksonville State.

Just one stroke behind, playing as an individual, is FAU junior Frank Berzanskis. The St. Cloud native had an eagle on the par-5 11th hole, and added five birdies on the day.

The other Owl individuals were: Pablo Gerboles-Parrilla (75), Alex Gates (78), Andrew Mangini (79) and Stephen McPoyle (87).
