MELBOURNE, FL - Florida Atlantic University played their third and final round of the Harmony Golf Preserve Intercollegiate today with Richard Donegan taking first-place. After the final round, the Owls scored a total 887 (+ 23), finishing in third.
On the first day of play, Donegan carded 2-under 70 to tie for second place. The freshman improved his score the following day, shooting 71 (-1), advancing to first. In his final round, he shot 74 (+2) bringing his total to 215 (-1). Donegan also took first place at the Rice Intercollegiate in February.
Alex Gates finished the second round tied for third. However, the junior golfer shot 6-over 78 to tie for eighth after the final. Airik Medinis also carded 6-over 78 during the third round and finished with a total 9-over 225, tying for fifteenth.
Florida Atlantic will travel to Jacksonville, Florida on Monday, March 11, to compete in the two-day Benbow Invitational, hosted by Butler University.
